To capture a good photo you need proper lighting. Then set a suitable ISO, for a macro shot keep your focus at macro mode, change focus according to your requirements. Then adjust white balance. If you want to capture a fast moving object then reduce the shutter speed to minimum, for a normal photo keep it in auto mode.
